Numatic International Environmental Policy

Numatic International Pty Ltd, can be proud of its contribution to the environment on a worldwide basis. For 30 years, we have produced a range of commercial cleaning equipment, each and every item of which is used in the daily improvement of the conditions in which we all live and work.

As a company we are fully committed to environmental improvements and, as such, we are adopting, are implementing and will annually review the following policies:

o  To comply with all relevant environmental legislation, and with other requirements to which it may subscribe.
o  To assess all areas of its operations with respect to its impact on the environment and incorporate those practicable procedures
and controls necessary to prevent environmental damage and pollution.
o  The company will ensure that all staff are kept aware of this policy, and their individual environmental responsibilities through an
appropriate programme of training and awareness enhancement.

In order to achieve these objectives, it is the policy of Numatic International Pty Ltd, to establish and maintain an effective environmental management system based on the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004.

RoHS Compliance Declaration

Electrical products designed and manufactured by Numatic International Pty Ltd, and sold into the European market are all covered by the EU Restriction of selective Hazardous Substances directive (RoHS).

This directive strictly limits the amounts of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chrome, and flame retardants PBBE and PBDE, that can be present in our products. Our design policy over some years has been to minimise our dependence on the use of materials containing these substances, so reducing the amount of effort needed to ensure RoHS compliance. Nevertheless, a comprehensive programme was undertaken to ensure compliance. This involved obtaining clear compliance declarations from our material and component suppliers, and where there was doubt over declaration accuracy or integrity, or perceived higher risk from the material type, then testing was conducted to verify compliance.

We have routine controls within our management systems to maintain our EU RoHS compliance, and to extend this to products approved for markets outside the European Union.
